Doctor Who Series 6 update

After a draining emotional week for Doctor Who fans, there is some interesting and good news to report about season 6.
It looks like the season will indeed be thrilling (Matt Smith recently referred to the new series as “harrowing”) and maintain the momentum generated after last season. I am not completely sure what Team Who is up to, but I know it is going to be interesting, emotional and compelling television.
I also like how Moffat is continuing to use fantasy and hardcore SF in the stories he is writing and green-lighting as producer. The show needed to expand and grow in order to continue to remain fresh and he has just done a terrific job with the show. I am so excited about the new season.
The episode order was rearranged by Stevan Moffat to avoid having a completely dark first half. However, it looks like the writers for the season have been finalized. Stevan Moffat will write episodes 1,2, 7, 8 and the season finale, episode 13. Episode 3 is being penned by Steve Thompson. The much heralded story by Neil Gaiman will be episode 4. Matthew Graham sends in the clones with  Episodes 5-6 (titled The Rebel Flesh & Gangers, respectively). Episode 9 has had many rumored titles, the latest being House Call or Night Terrors. We know that this story has been written by Mark Gatiss. Episode 10 is being written by Richard Curtis. Episode 11 features the return of Toby Whithouse. Last week at Gallifrey One, Gareth Roberts confirmed that he was writing episode 12 for the new season. His story will be a continuation of events from The Lodger and will feature James Corden, who will be back as Craig Owen.
It is now confirmed that David Walliams will appear in episode 11 as a character called “The Gibbis.”

All good news to me.... nothing to see here move along please!
